Rivian Foundation's grant
Rivian Foundation’s support is helping Appalachia Rising to cultivate major new philanthropic investment from outside the region, with a goal of raising at least $20 million over the next two years. The grant will also enable the initiative to develop and promote a robust, funder-ready portfolio of locally led projects that integrate biodiversity, climate resilience, and community well-being. Additionally, Rivian Foundation’s funding will help Appalachia Rising strengthen a vibrant regional network of grassroots conservation and climate organizations through peer learning and shared strategy, and launch a new regional “Appalachia” brand campaign to build pride, visibility, and momentum for community-led environmental leadership.
