Rivian Foundation's grant

Rivian Foundation funding is helping Trout Unlimited advance its "Critical Juncture" initiative, which seeks to strike a balance between protecting sensitive lands, cleaning up past environmental mistakes, and increasing the supply of critical minerals for the renewable energy economy. This support will enable TU to continue its leadership in educating the public and decision makers about the need to update mining rules, dedicate more funding for abandoned mine cleanups, and facilitate third-party remediation of abandoned mine sites. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, TU aims to develop and encourage practices that safeguard both the environment and the future of clean energy.
