Siting Clean Collaborative

Siting Clean Collaborative

"Communities deserve a say in their energy future, but the siting process for utility-scale clean energy projects can be a roadblock. SCC works to grow the ecosystem of non-profit groups helping communities navigate the opportunities and challenges around new energy development. By supporting engagement from trusted voices, SCC helps bring clean power onto the grid while helping local communities benefit.”

Rivian Foundation's grant

Rivian Foundation’s support is helping SCC’s Catalyst Seeding Program identify and strengthen promising organizations and strategies that build understanding and local support for well-planned energy projects. The grant will enable SCC to help communities participate effectively in decision-making, expand networks of trusted local leaders who can share information with the public, and provide strategic and operational support to high-impact new organizations or initiatives. By testing practical approaches and learning what works best for building collaboration, this grant supports SCC’s work to increase local approvals of new energy development that offers wide-ranging local benefits.
